Just then, my friend got a virus.
It seemed to have popped up right when he pressed the minecraft launcher.
Any news that it might've been hacked or anything?

Might just be a misunderstanding but i'm curious as to what happened.

If he is using Trend Micro, then rest assured it is a false positive.

To avoid the detection please use the .jar launcher.
