For some reason, Java programs on my computer only run with 1024 MB max. I can't get MC, modded or not, to run with more than 1024 MB, and the Technic Launcher won't even RUN. I have at least 5GB of RAM on my computer, and the Windows Task Manager is reporting only 1.2 GB of RAM being used. Anyone know how to fix this? The error I get is simply:

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Pretty self-explanitory error, but I can't add more or the error happens.

Edit 8/8/13: Well, I could tell my FTB Launcher to give the game more RAM, but this happened. Again, but not on the Technic Launcher.

You don't need more than 1GB RAM for minecraft.

I know that the game will run with less, but it's kinda slow at <1GB. FTB keeps lag spiking [if that's a word] because it doesn't get enough and uses all it's memory, then resets the memory usage to about 88%. Move this topic to Modded Minecraft help please, because it's now focusing on FTB, not basic Minecraft. [112 mods!? :O]

I run 32 bit and I have the same problem. What can i do without getting a better computer?
