I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW370J laptop that was upgdraded to Windows 8 Pro with no problems. All other apps and hardware items work on it. No graphics card issues whatsoever...except Minecraft.
Upon launch, Minecraft returns the "lack of up to date graphics" error
The Mobile Intel Series 4 Chipset WDDM 1.1 is version 8.15.10.2702
Intel does not have a new/updated driver that STATES compatability with Windows 8 (any version)
So updating graphics card seems out.
I tried running Minecraft (v1.5x and now 1.6x) in compatability mode on previous windows versions but not working either.
