I've been having issues with lag and FPS on my new laptop, and even though some people have said that allocating more memory to my minecraft won't help a lot, I've decided to try it just to see the results.
I can already figure out how I can easilly allocate more minecraft but I want to know is first off, if you have allocated more memory, what were your results. Also, I'm not the smartest when it comes to computer memory and stuff, so if I allocate more memory to my Minecraft, will I be able to use that memory that I allocated towards other programs after I close Minecraft, because I use this laptop for other things too. Also, are there other affects on other programs if you allocate memory towards Minecraft, and, if I find this process doesn't work, can I reverse the process to take away memory from my Minecraft?
Thanks for your time, and any reply/ help is greatly appreciated.
