I reccently downloaded a x512 texture pack and i was able to play minecraft normally. The next time i played minecraft, it would stop responding and crash. Thinking the texture pack was too big i downloaded a smaller texture pack. Minecraft would sometimes open, but stop responding soon after. I was able to open a world and found that minecraft was using 98% of the allocated memory. When i try to allocate more memory to minecraft, it won't allow it. I'm trying to allow 4GB to minecraft (I have 10GB RAM in total) but minecraft won't let me allocate more than 1GB. How can I allocate 4GB to minecraft??
