I've been having problems lately consisting of the graphical user interface (GUI) and screen flickering to the blue colour the Void has at a certain distance. This appeared when I installed Win 8 on my computer, however this has not appeared on Linux Ubuntu 12.04 I have including Win 7 and 8. I tried installing Optifine, which made it worse. This stopped from the 1.6 update, but I would still like to fix it because FTB and Technic use 1.5 and lower. I tried stopping this by degrading all my graphical options to the lowest option possible and allocated Minecraft 7 GiB of RAM (not that RAM matters here in my case)

I installed 32 bit and then 64 bit one, it helped a little, but didn't fix it. What is a temp fix for me is all graphical options to lowest, making it OK for one session. Also, my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, and the version of the drivers: 311.06 and 7u25 Java
