Hi! I have the same problem too. I have been playing the demo to make sure Minecraft will work on my computer. It used to work with Direct3d disabled, but sometime before the 1.6 update it didn't work at all. My grapics card is up to date. Is there anything I can do? Here's my compter graphics information:
Name: Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corperation
Chip Type: Intel GMA 950
DAC Type: Internal
and my operating sytem is Microsoft Windows XP Profesional
Heres my error code: Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

If you need any more information to fix the problem let me know. I would REALLY like to play Minecraft.
This is a really easy fix, so, you will want to go to Start and then search Window's Update and it will come up with a program called Windows Update or something along those lines. So, you will need to go through ALL available updates and look for any update referring to Video Card Driver. Thats why in the Report it says "This can usually be fixed by updating your Video Card Driver" I had this same issue on my old Inspiron laptop. I no longer use that one though, But the problem was fixed I hope this helps!
