Don't get me wrong, the update 1.6.2 was great, but you don't want to by a new computer for everytime the update comes, what I am trying to say is update slow my computer down, we need the better update better view but not better in lag. I was searching for the way to stop lagging, try all kind of methods I found in the web inclucing this forum, non of them works.
I have read many thread related to lag, some said stop whining get the new computer, some said download this change that but seem like matter what you do the minecraft laucher automatic down load the latest version and default to it. I hope we have a solution for all the folks that have the same problem as I do to make everyone's happy with minecraft.
I have 650G hard drive, 6G memory. was running fine with the previous version, but not the latest one.
Any help, hint, suggestion will help me and the rest of the folks like me.
Get optifine. If you don't know how, here are the steps how:
Download Magiclauncher, and optifine for 1.6.2.
Start up Magiclauncher.
Click Setup.
Click enviroments, then 1.6.2.jar (or whatever it says, it's something about 1.6 and a .jar)
Click add.
Find optifine.
Click use. (or whatever it says. I can't check right now, i'm on vacation and can't play minecraft )
Click save.
Enter player information. (Don't worry, it won't steal it.)
Start up game.
Go into options, video settings.
Profit.
If this was hard to understand, just go to optifine's page, then there will be 1.6 install instructions right there.

Thanks for the tips, it works. Half of my lag is gone. One more thing to mention that if anyone have the same problem that I have do the step above and don't for get to allocate more RAM to minecraft it will work very well.
