I downloaded it, unzipped it, and saved to my desktop, I then cut it, pasted it to my mindcraft folder that said texture packs.
Then I loaded minecraft, but strangely..I had to re-enter in my username and password, which previously has not happened, because it would just load automatically, and all I'd have to press it "PLAY" button..
Next Minecraft loads up, but all my worlds..they are all missing!
I check my saves..but they're still there, how can this be?
I also..want to mention something else..originally..I believe minecraft used to be located in %appdata% or something in roaming on my computer.
I changed the file name from .minecraft to Minecraft, and I moved .minecraft out to my documents in my library.
Is this place I went wrong? I just am really confused and want some help on this.
I had this happen to me once. I think to fix it I used an offline editor and just changed something silly like my starting location or something like that. They started showing up again after that though.
What went wrong here is the
"I changed the file name from .minecraft to Minecraft, and I moved .minecraft out to my documents in my library."
You're NOT supposed to change the file name nor move that folder out of %appdata%. Please change your folder's name back to .minecraft and put it inside %appdata% again.
This should solve the issue. If it doesn't then please reply back to me.

I fixed this problem, but just one question..is it allowed to move my Roaming folder, and all of its contents to Libraries -> Documents?
Because that's what I've been doing/using ever since I've started playing minecraft or actualy..rather even before I started playing, I just initially moved it there, oh and..I use Windows 7.

Hey there,
"is it allowed to move my Roaming folder, and all of its contents to Libraries -> Documents?"
Please do not move the folders inside of %appdata%. Everything was created in their specific location for their own specific purpose. Moving these folders might render the applications using them useless as this folder is the folder where all your Internet cache, application settings ect. is created.

So..this morning I decided I'd try something different.
I wanted to test out and see how to enable a texture pack.
The first thing I did was find this: http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/feathersong/
