When I start the game it runs at 100+ FPS, and then, after a few minutes, it drops to 9-12 FPS. I don't know what's going on or what I can do to fix it, if anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them, thanks!
java version "1.7.0_25"
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b15)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)
Edit: I have an Asus G72GX, 64Bit OS, and my graphics card is GForce GTX 260M. I've allocated 2GB of RAM to Minecraft, if I exit Minecraft and restart it, it runs at 100+ FPS again, then drops after a few minutes as usual.
I fixed it. Took my laptop apart and removed the fan, turns out a 1/4 inch coating of dirt blocking air from escaping is a bad thing. who woulda thunk it?
Anyways, currently using a 512x realistic texture pack running minecraft on max settings at 60fps. Left it on for over two hours and my fps never dropped. Good luck to the rest of you in the support forums. Hope your problems are switfly rectified.
