Well I just recently came back to minecraft, and decided to start a seed with modes set to survival, and slowly build some pretty wacky things. After about 2 weeks worth of progress, I've noticed something funny begin happening. I will mine stone, or any ore and the block will disappear after I've mined it (like it's supposed to), but then immediately the block will regenerate, and I have to wait 3 seconds or so for the block to disappear and give me the ore.
Same problem with attacks, my attacks are delayed, and the monsters can get in 2-3 hits before I even hit them once, despite swinging my sword like a maniac, or spamming arrows.
The noises, such as opening chests is extremely delayed, the sound will occur 3-5seconds after I've closed or open the chest.
I've tried creating new seeds and none of this occurs, is something wrong with my seed? I know its definitely not my computer, it can run games with better graphics than minecraft at pretty high settings.
Does anyone know the problem? I really don't want to have to restart everything from scratch again, I've spent too much time and have had too much progress to even want to start over.

EDIT: however whenever I place objects no lag occurs. I have also tried to play this seed on multiple computers, each one has had the same problem.
