LAN problems?

My husband can't join any LAN worlds I make, and I can't even see any he makes. We're using different accounts, we're on the same internet. I don't know what's going on. We did just get our internet set up tho. Ideas? Please Help?!?

Are the firewall settings allowing minecraft to be played over the connection?

Do this first ^^^

If that doesn't work, reset your router.
