So, I can't allocate RAM to minecraft 1.6.2
I have checked JVM Arguments and written: "-Xmx1G"
But in-game it says only that I have 455MB of memory. I have tried both "-Xmx1G" and "-Xmx1024M", but none of them work. I have no mods installed, please help! (specs below)
I'm getting this thing too I have 8GB of ram in my computer and i put 6000m I restarted my computer and it fixed it, but then when I closed Minecraft and reopen it this thing happens again :-/ So I guess the solution is to restart your computer open Minecraft and don't close it, if you do then you have to restart again or it will only have 455mb allocated.

You should see a number near 1G on the second line of the memory statistics.
If your minecraft needed more memory, then it would be using more of what it already has available to it.
Also why are you trying to alocate 6000M thats almost 6 GB and with your current amount of ram that is a bad idea.
Also unless minecraft is crashing or you need the ram for mods or something of the sort, more then 1 GB is not needed.
