Java doesn't wanna run JAR files,

My computer overheated yesterday, turned back on, tried ot launch my server.

It just says its a JAR file, not a java executable. so how can i make java open JARS again,

as now i cannot play ANYTHING

Are you still able to run Minecraft (the game, not the server)?

Are you using Bukkit to run your server, or the vanilla Minecraft server software?

If Minecraft server software:
Are you using minecraft_server.1.6.2.exe or minecraft_server.1.6.2.jar?

Are you using a batch script to run the server, or just double clicking on the minecraft_server.1.6.2 file?
