Here is the story,

I've been using a cracked launcher since Minecraft 1.3
Then a version of the cracked launcher came out with 1.6

I've been using that launcher for while now, so I bought the real minecraft.
When I bought it I was so excited and I downloaded minecraft and I couldn't click the play button.

I'm on Mac.

I deleted the minecraft folder, It still doesn't work.


Help?

This is making me furious.

It's what you get for paying. Today will be the third time I have had the issue of Minecraft just deciding not to work anymore. The first time was for about three days after I first bought it. I have had it barely over a month. Like most online verification modes, it simply does not work all the time. When it doesn't, you're screwed.

Thanks, but did you have this problem? No one is responding at all.

The problem I am having today is that some weird launcher 1.1.1 is coming up and my login supposedly does not work. I am on Linux though. Not sure if there is any way possible that they are related, but today specifically several people are having issues just getting the launcher to work.

Yours lets you log in but just leaves the play button grey?

I won't even let me log in..

Mac and Linux are related.
This problem does occur on my Linux Laptop too.

Cracked launchers often tamper with your system to accomplish their 'crack'. I'm guessing you should check your /etc/hosts file (or whatever a Mac has) to look for host entries that make minecraft.net unreachable.
