When ever I run Minecraft this happens....

Please try to fix this error, I have tried disabling the firewall but still it doesn't work

Minecraft is my favourite game and I would appreciate it if you can fix this !

Well, what this looks like, the launcher tries to run the file to start the launcher, but it hits this error, it is denied access to the file, often times, this is do to a firewall or a blocked permission to that section of the computer. Is this a family computer or a personal computer, what brand and is it a desktop or laptop? This can help me tell you if it is a firewall or something else.

i am having this exact problem no one will answer.(and this is a built pc not a bought one)

Im getting the same error and also i un-installed my AVG and my firewall is down. any ideas or can someone teamveiwer me and help me fix this error. Thnx

I have this problem... I got it after I installed/updated to a 64 bit Java...

If I Left-Click to open, it comes up with:

And I cannot play Minecraft, BUT, if I Right-Click the Minecraft Icon to Launch it, then Select "Open as Administrator", then it works just fine... Try it, it might be a hassle to play cuz of that little process but at least you can never play it again...

Steps:
- Right-Click Minecraft icon/launcher.
- Select "Run as administrator"
- ???
- Profit

You might have to Select a few more things such as "Run" from the User Account Control saying that this file is untrustworthy... but, it is Minecraft, so yer

Hello!
This worked for me. I ran the launcher and got the same error. I left the launcher open for sometime and i got another message that "Update <size> was downloaded in <time>" or something like that. Then when I restarted Minecraft, it started working!!
