hey i have this really weird problem with the new 1.6 minecraft launcher, never opened it the first time i run it the launcher menu pops up for first time and this shows up.....

i have never had any problems like this in the recent versions on the launchers of minecraft. i have no idea what this means and what do to if somebody could please help me on what to do i would greatly appreciate it

That's your problem. Your firewall or an antivirus is blocking it. Try allowing it.

so just turn off my firewall?

turned off my firewall still not fixed. this is annoying

ok um i have tried turning off my firewall and stuff nothing has worked i have no idea what i did.

Hey there fireteen,

I don't know if you are still having this issue however if you firewall is disabled you still may not have permission to write the file that needs downloading. Run the new minecraft launcher as an admin and everything should download correctly!

i have run as administrator and the problem still persists.
