In 1.5.2 I could stream with steady FPS over 70. Java would only use about 4GB of memory. No not respondings etc. I use OBS to stream and my PC is:
I7 3770K 3.4ghz
GTX670
24GB of ram (yeayea)
Well in 1.6.2 after like 20 minutes, the java process uses 15GB+!!!!! Which affects my FPS and streaming. Also anytime I stop streaming MC goes unresponsive and I have to wait a few minutes for it to fix itself.
I don't know what it is about, but minecraft on my computer also seems to go unresponsive lately way more often then before. In fact, I dont remember it happening before 1.6
you can cap it by using the -Xmx4g as a java argument under profile settings, 4g being the max used is 4 gigabytes, you can change tht number to whatever if you like.
