Hello, this is my first minecraft form post, and i herd that u can use a software called dataware ramdisk to speed up minecraft. so I installed it, and did the normal steps to make a disk, but when I went to create a new partition, it sayed that the disk only had 99 MB of memory on it, even though I gave it 215 MB of memory with the ramdisk config utility. I Don't know why this is hapining, but I need help

Apart from the Ramdisk being a bad idea, 512Mb RAM while running Win7 can't possibly be enough to effectively run Minecraft. Probably the main reason his game runs so darn slow is because of all the disk I/O.
I strongly suggest you buy another RAM stick. Not like they are all that expensive.
This. He's already saturating his Pagefile at this point. Adding a RamDisk would be hell on the system. If you really want to keep running on an ancient P4 machine, yes buy more ram on Newegg or something. In the meantime, install Optifine and lower Java ram allocation to like 250MB in MagicLauncher.
