I used MCEdit on one of my worlds.
Now, whenever I try to open the world, it just goes back to the main menu.
Does anyone know why this is happening and maybe how to fix it?
having had the same problem was just about to ask if i could get in on this "upload to mediafire" impromptu help desk... but before begging one's indulgence, i thought i'd have a look at stepping backwards from the changes i made before the "break"... moving the spawn point again, back closer to where it was pre-break at least got the world open, but it was still broke... sections of my world just disappeared around me leaving a ten chunk world floating in a sea of darkness...
i then made a copy of the worlds save folder, went back into mcedit and just did some stuff in this "ten chunk" area... it kinda seemed that what was left of my world was actually the chunks that were causing the problem... i opened minecraft and this copy has worked fine since...
and yes, i returned to my habit of backing up before "mcediting"... a quick "delete old copy, make new copy" batch script fixed my laziness/stupidity problem...
BUT... i still don't understand the what or why of the "break", which is a bit frustrating.... any thoughts..?
