Minecraft 1.6.2 will not open in launcher!

So as of today I've tried to play Minecraft version 1.6.2 WITHOUT forge. It was working fine yesterday, until when I tried to press the play button, nothing would pop up, no errors or a client. If anyone is experiencing this or has a fix for this, it would be a bunch of help.
