Ever since updating to 1.6 I can't hear any sounds from anything. Minecraft doesn't even show up in the system sounds. I have my sound all the way to 100% and my speakers up pretty high as well. I've been ignoring it for the most part but I'm just tired of it now and need a fix for it. I've searched for other people with the same problem but the fixes they used don't work for me. I'm using a windows 7. Could someone help please?

Try deleting everything but your resource packs and your saves folder from the Minecraft folder, then redownloading it using the launcher.
That didn't work. I've been messing around with it a bunch and nothing's helped. I might just try to get the 1.6 files to run on the old launcher since the old launcher is the only one that allowed me to hear.
