Hey, all.
I'm on a Macbook Pro and recently was able to get Minecraft properly working, instead of Portable, as I was using for a while. I've dabbled in Tekkit and Yogcraft but otherwise haven't tried adding anything. I want to add the Pixelmon mod to my game, but this is where the problem comes in.
Now, this is a school computer, so instead of putting things into my applications, I have to put them on my desktop or somewhere else. However, the "direct" path to my minecraft folder doesn't work; library -> application support shows absolutely NO minecraft folder. If I search "minecraft" I can find... four minecraft folders? And if I open the enclosing folders, it says that it is in application support?
I've labeled each of them to be able to keep track.
The red minecraft folder appears to be a normal-ish one containing bin, saves, etc. This one contains the saves from my portable version, so it would appear to correspond to said version.
The orange one only has two folders in it: "coremods" and "mods". Strangely, it has the Pixelmon .zip in it, so I must have messed with this one ages ago in my noobdom. My sense is that this might correspond to Tekkit or Yogcraft.
The green one only contains a folder "server", which has a file "mod_ccSensors.class". No idea where or how this one came into being; I tried making a server ages ago, but failed and deleted it - is this related to that?
The yellow one also contains "server", but inside it is "mod_CCTurtle.class" and "mod_ComputerCraft.class". No idea whatsoever where this is from.
Here's the odd part: there is no folder anywhere on my hard drive that contains the saves from my actual Minecraft launcher and version - and no minecraft folder that would contain said folder.
What.
((feel free to move this, not sure what this would come under - i've never modded mc and this isn't DIRECTLY related to tekkit, so...))

The red one has to do with your regular minecraft, orange should have to do with some modpack, the other two should be ignored.
Also, saves should be in the corresponding version of minecraft in the "versions" folder(of the red minecraft).

Thank you, but there's no versions folder for some reason... probably the fault of it being for the portable version, I'm guessing...? The only things in it are just http://i39.tinypic.com/iz9pc9.png
so the folder for the actual Minecraft launcher and not the portable version is still missing, unless it's somehow hidden inside this one...
You should read the Mac FAQ. It might be getting a little out of date now with the new launcher, but it does help you understand that there are multiple Application Support directories, and the one that minecraft uses is hidden.
Thank you both kindly. Is the mac version supposed to not have a META-INF folder? Mine doesn't.
Also, I'm guessing the .minecraft folder I'd look to for modding is the [insert version i want to mod].jar?
If you aren't seeing a META-INF folder, it could be the way that the tool you are using is displaying the jar contents to you. Some of them have a mode that only shows files. In that mode there is often a column that contains the path information.

Minecraft folder is in this part: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/649868-mac-support-101/#entry8508708

The portable version was 1.5.9 (i believe, or whatever the newest one before 1.6 was) and I'm fully updated on the normal one, thanks.
