I just purchased minecraft for my brother and i downloaded the file. When I try to open the file a screen pops up asking if i want to run the file and click "open". After that nothing happens. if tried deleting the file and re downloading it again and still no luck. I also restarted the laptop and still didn't work.

Computer specs:

Windows 7
HP
Java 7

Also no crash log because the file doesn't even open up.

I have the exact same issue ... doing my head in and suffering badly from withdrawal ... any ideas yet??

is your java up to date... google update java and update ur java if ur java not up to date to play java game.

Try running my Minecraft Auto Repair Tool, and select Do a Full Repair.

If you continue to have problems, post the MCFixLog.txt file located on your desktop in a reply post.
