Probably not a java issue. there is no error report, correct? try re-installing the launcher. make sure you backup your world!
Like delete the .exe from my downloads and re-download it? I have done that a few times.
I also went to the app data folder and cleaned that out (not worried about losing worlds, rather be able to play) and tried to re-download everything but that did not work either. Same issue. Will lot get to Launching Client.
I am not getting any exit errors or anything.
I was playing this a few days ago no problems.
I did have some computer issues I had to sort out, so I'm not sure if this is a JAVA issue or what.

I did not see 1.6, only 1.6.2, 1.6.1 and 1.5.2.
I tried 1.6.1 and 1.5.2 and it looks like same problem.
Taking that as a huge foot forward, I went back to the new launcher and tried to launch 1.5.2 from there.
STILL THE SAME . . . ok the language I was about to use there was probably a bit coarse for some people, maybe, perhaps, I don't know.
