I was downloading Optifine for Minecraft 1.6.2 and I downloaded Optifine A1 instead of A2. I thought that I would have to get rid of the previous version of Optifine I had, so I went to the Minecraft folders and deleted the bin folder so when I restart Minecraft the .bin folder would reset. (All mods I have installed would disappear) So I opened up Minecraft 1.6.2 and logged in until I was at the homepage, and when I looked at the Minecraft folders, the bin didn't re-appear like Minecraft 1.5.2 version and under. So now the bins missing and I can't download Optifine, I've tried redownloading a new Minecraft off the Mojang site and did the process to get to the Minecraft folders and the bin wasn't there. So how do I get the Bin back? **Note - I'm in Minecraft version 1.6.2**

There's a whole new system with the 1.6 update, there is no longer a bin folder. You must have merged old launcher installations with the new ones.

The bin is now useless, and the launcher can't even run it. Just watch the video @Saliq mentioned.

I just use MCPatcher.
