Alright let me try and cover everything succinctly...
- I deleted the whole .minecraft folder, including saved games
- I updated Java to "Java 7 Update 21"
- I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, 4 GB RAM and an Intel Integrated Graphics card (I know it sucks)
- All previous versions of Minecraft have worked; upon release of the new launcher in the Snapshots, I have not been able to play.
Main Issue
When I load the launcher and press 'play' I get this:
Game ended with bad state (exit code -1073740777)
Deleting C:\Users\Vicko\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.6.2\1.6.2-natives-14283462356432
Couldn't delete C:\Users\Vicko\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.6.2\1.6.2-natives-14283462356432 - scheduling for deletion upon exit
What is this, what does it mean and how do I fix it? I've repeatedly deleted and reinstalled Mincraft already. I've repeatedly updated Java. The game never actually starts so I never get passed the Launcher. I'm not a computer whiz so if anyone could be clear and gramatically correct about their hypothesis on the subject, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you for your consideration.

Same problem here.
I could restart the game at first and it would sometimes crash again but not always. Now it crashes every time after half a second.
I tried the link at the end but i do not have the program mentioned there on my pc so i cannot remove it.
The game still works if i load an old world (that i had to convert first) but when i load the world i have been building for 3 years it doesn't no matter how many times i try ...
please help us ... i have worked on this world for 3 years and i'm thinking of throwing myself or my pc out the window if i cant find a sollution

Please verify that -1073740777 is equivalent exactly to the error you are getting.
If so, please do the following:
To make sure the launcher stays open: click Edit Profile, then check Launcher Visibility, select Keep Launcher Open and finally hit Save Profile.
Next play the game, and wait until you get the issue.
When that happens go to the minecraft launcher, switch to the "Development Console" tab, and copy all the text with Control + A then Control + C.
I have the same problem, only works with vanilla. I removed all my minecraft content and game, and installed it again. I put modloader in and it didn't work. Does this mean I can't play my game with mods anymore?

Thank you for your suggestion. :3
I can get into vanilla Minecraft even with this error, but not using Forge. And I still get the error when I exit from vanilla MC.
Please see this article.

Hi,
This is unmodded support.
That exit code will not be returned by mods (unless for whatever reason they decide to use that error code).
If you need help installing mods, see Modded Client Support.
