alright, so what happened was, I installed MCpatcher after downloading sphax pureBDcraft. when I launched Minecraft the exact message that came up in the initial launcher said the following:

Reversing LZMA on C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher.pack.lzma to C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher.pack
Unpacking C:\users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher.pack to C\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher.jar
Cleaning up C:\Users\{me}\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\launcher.pack
Starting launcher.
After that, nothing happens! I've closed and re-launched minecraft several times and it hasn't done anything! I've never had this problem before, as I've launched this many times before. Also, after it didn't launch the first time, I deleted all the files MCpatcher left plus the bin and assets folders. In case you want to know, I'm running on a 64-bit Windows 7 intel i5 computer with Java 7 64-bit installed, but I doubt that has anything to do with the problem, as I've only just been having this problem now. TENK YU FO YO HALP!
