So me and my friend REALLY want to play LAN in 1.6.1, but for the past 3 updates, it won't work. We have both completely diabled our firewalls, tried using the cmd.exe ipconfig ips, and just strait up using what minecraft gives us. The worlds don't even show up in the multiplayer menu! Sometimes it says "connection refused: connect", sometimes it give us a java script, sometimes it says "Cannot connect: strange string!" and its just random everytime. PLEASE HALP!
You need to be using the same internet connection to use a LAN world. Do NOT disable your firewalls for ANYTHING. This will put your computer COMPLETELY AT RISK.
