Hi. I used to play Minecraft on a Mac, but I recently changed to Windows 7 PC. I wanted to download MC and I did. It works perfectly fine, but something isn't right. For some reason, I have to "Run" the game after every time I open it and the launcher isn't the one I see where it only has the Tumblr updates and the login section. My launcher has four tabs that says: "Update Notes" "Development Console" "Profile Editor" "Local Version Editor (NYI)". At first, I was totally fine with it, but then, when I wanted to add Mods, in the ".minecraft" file, it DID NOT have the "bin" folder. Did I download it wrong? Is there a solution to fix it and to get the bin folder?
BTW: When I downloaded from the site, I dragged the "Minecraft.exe" file on to my desktop. If I didn't do that, I had to constantly go to the "Download" file on my laptop.
Wait, but is it normal to have to "run" the file every time I open it?
You can fix that easily. There should be a check box in the corner of the window where it says something like "Always ask before opening this file". Just uncheck it.
