I've been playing Minecraft for awhile now, and when I heard 1.6 was coming out, I was thrilled.
What I wasn't so thrilled about was that I got an error upon login.
Brief Error:
Client> Invalid memory access of location 0x0 rip=0x0
Client>
Game ended with bad state (exit code 139)
Deleting /Users/[name]/Library/Application
Support/minecraft/versions/1.6.1/1.6.1-natives-137237035678241000
Here's what I've already tried:
Delete Bin
Restart (delete/redownload) Launcher
Download latest LWJGL version (2.9.1)
Checked EVERYWHERE.

Are you playing on a already created world? I was having the same issue but started a new world and everything has been working! I think doing a bug fix some people's files got corrupted and that is what is up with the bad state game close! I know it suck restarting but it look like that is the only fix that I have found!
This link should help you with your problem. They are trying to fix the bug that makes it incompatible. They have tried to fix it but they are still working on the problem. They ask you to post your developer console after you update it if you crash. You update it by re downloading it on the minecraft.net website. This has been happening for a lot of people, including me. It is a problem with lwjgl, which is something that somehow contributes to Minecraft working in some way. Other than that, I don't know much else except that this error is supposed to be fixed in the next update of lwjgl.

If you need any other specs or any other info I'm lacking here, post below.
Or, if you know of a fix, post that below, too!
Thanks in advance,

First, get the latest LWJGL (2.9.1) by searching it on Google.
Then, download the latest launcher.
It's how I fixed it.
