I'm on a macbook pro at version 10.6.8 and I have the latest version of minecraft. I took a break for about half a year and decided to come back to see what's new.
I logged in without a problem, but my screen was in window format. I prefer fullscreen, so after entering my world I went into options and selected the fullscreen mode. My screen went entirely black.
I uninstalled and re-downloaded the minecraft client and my screen remains black. I can click around the screen randomly and I can hear the sounds of menu buttons being clicked, but despite my best efforts I haven't managed to hit the 'fullscreen' button again. My screen remains black.
If I chance upon the quit button, the client quits as usual.
How can I force my screen resolution back down into window mode?
