So after the recent 1.6.1 update, I decided to see what was new in Minecraft, only to find that my game becomes unbearably laggy (think about trying to play at about 0.2 FPS). I hit F3 to see what was going on and saw that minecraft was only being allocated a total of 182mb of RAM. My PC has 4gb of ram in it, so i have no idea why such a tiny amount is being allocated, even when nothing else is running. just sitting idle on a friends server uses up ~120mb of RAM, and the second I try to move more than 8 chunks away from my load in position, the game just about dies. Does anyone know how I can get the game using a little more RAM than this stupidly low amount?
