So a few days ago my dad updated java. And when i tried opening minecraft 1.5.2, a small window opened up saying "Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0 is needed" (or something close to that). And when i tried opening minecraft 1.6, the same message popped up but said "...1.6.0 is needed..."

So, as a normal person would do, i installed Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0 and 1.6.0 (plus many other java versions). But even after that, the small window kept popping up.

So my dad uninstalled the update which now causes all the minecraft versions to not open. i double-click the minecraft.exe and nothing happens. But on minecraft.net, i can play the demo easily.

I've had minecraft for about a year and it ran fine until now. Please reply quick, i have a UHC event i've been chosen to be in on july 8th.

Here are also some computer specs that i know which might help:
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 12.0 GB
64-bit operating system

The issue may be your version of Java. Do you know what that is?

lol whoops. i did get it fixed at the last second though! Thanks for the help guys! I got in 3rd place :|
