hey guys so i just put together a new pc and it has a quad-core AMD A8-6600k APU with radeon HD graphics processor and when i try to play minecraft i get this

Bad video card drivers!

and i have updated my video and display drivers and since i have integrated apu graphics the guy at the store told me that i dont have to have a video card because my processor is just as powerful even better standing alone.so i wish i knew what to do thx! guys hope you can help!

okay thx. but does that mean i can run minecraft because every time i reboot after installing my graphics driver windows wont boot and i have to do a system restore to an earlier point and before i had this computer i had an AMD athlon single-core with 2 gb of ram and no video card and it could run minecraft really smoothly. so thx if you can help.

You are getting this message due to Windows 8 graphic drivers not being compatible with Minecraft. If you go to Nvidia, they should have newer video drivers for you to download. I would also try to change your update notifications from Automatic to Always Ask Me (or something like that), then when Win 8 wants to update the graphic drivers that work you say "No." :-)

really because i thought nvidia drivers wouldn't work and i dont understand why win 8 be having problems because i dont use win 8 i use win 7

thx. but i tried doing that before i started this thread and i noticed that every time i installed the video driver and i restarted windows wont boot and then i restart again and it makes me do a system restore.

The drivers I specified are made to work on your specific APU.

yes i went to the amd website and went to drivers.i chose my preferences (in Spoiler)


and i download the Catalyst Software Suite

and after i install i have to reboot like it said and when i do windows wont boot and the mouse and keyboard dont work
so thx for the help so far.

i'm sorry i am completely confused how you found 32-bit anywhere in my original post (which does not even state anything about my OS) and also my DxDiag also clearly states that i'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

i bulit it using unused new products and i would think that amd and msi would be involved. amd for the processor and msi for the motherboard and the case i just bought new too.sorry that i did not say this at the beginning because i did not think this would be a problem but i dont have a video card because as you already know my processor came with radeon HD graphics.THX for the help
