Why do I get jagged lines (NVDIA Card) in nearly every game? Please help!? I just can't find any solution online, and I really, really need help and fast. In every game, I mean every game I get jagged edges and only in game settings make a difference, but it is still horrible. If I change the AA and AF settings and AA setting to override the Application setting it doesn't make any changes. I am posting Minecraft as an example, but this also happens in Fable 3; Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3; GTA 4, and etc. For games except Minecraft changing the resolution also helps, but there are still jagged lines, For Minecraft I use Optifine mod and with it AA works, but there are still jagged lines, and I want my Minecraft to be without Optifine, because I don't want to relay on that mod. At least maybe someone can give me an explanation. Also I have the latest GPU drivers, and the latest Java since Minecraft uses Java. Here is the screenshot of my Minecraft. http://www.mediafire.com/?h8ahlphz2d96lqp All the help is appreciated. Laptop specs: Model - ASUS PRO66IC CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5900 2.20 GHz, 2 Core(s) GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GT 220M CUDA 1GB, Intergrated RAMDAC, max resolution 1366 x 768 RAM - 4.00 GB System - Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7600, x64 bit
But what about other players. I have seen them playing it without any jagged lines. I don't want to wait for Optfine updates, and why don't my Nvidia settings effect Minecraft. I have set the setting to target all java.exe-s and Minecraft.exe. And I always get those lines everywhere, and the settings in game make a difference, and resolution as well, but still not enough, and Nvidia control panel as I said doesn't effect the games. Why? This also happens to similar laptop with similar specs.
And Also if I can't fix it tell me why is this happening on both of my laptops. Why the AA, and AF won't work? Btw this happens in all games, but here is another example Rome Total War, and it's expansions. How is it possible for the AA, and AF not to work on two computers. On YouTube, and my friend's computer they work perfectly fine. In Nvidia help I read that they occur when the resolution isn't high enough for some things to be displayed, but my question is then should I buy a 1920x1080 monitor, or i need the card with that kind of resolution. Please explain this to me.
No, it's not a bug! That happens when I use anti-alising, but when i turn it off it's even more terrible. Please read the question details. And also in those pictures they are hardly noticeable, but in my game they are all over the place. That is why I need this issue fixed. Still thanks!
I think I have mentioned that the settings were checked, and that they don't effect Minecraft. Still however thank you soooo much for your support, it really means a lot to me . You know if I can't fix this at least give me an explanation. Also u may be right, about the settings thing. But what setting could cause it?
Check your nvidia settings for any signs that is causing it
