I am in need of help... On the new 1.6.1 update with the new launcher, I open up minecraft to the main menu. Now, when I click multiplayer and add in a server, it automatically crashes my internet for about a minute or two.
Singleplayer is perfectly fine, it's just the multiplayer. Please help, I need this fixed.
I also have this same problem, and it's VERY annoying. So far, the only fix I can find is to leave your client half sized when hitting multiplayer and let your server list load slowly. It seems like if your list is anything over 4 servers, then it will most likely crash your internet. My guess is that Minecraft is trying to load all of them at once, and our internet can't handle it. Please help anyone, this problem is a huge hassle.
1.6.2 has not resolved the issue. It is still happening consistently for me.

Possible Fix: So, I have had this problem since 1.6 came out, and I had no idea what the problem was. I have had problems with a .class file: ayv.class. Steps To Fix: First, you need to go into your .minecraft folder, and find the versions folder. Open up the folder named 1.6.2 (or 1.6.1, depends on what you are using)and open the 1.6.2.jarin winrar or 7-zip, and delete META-INF, as this will allow you to further mod the .jar file. Then find the ayv.class and delete it.
I hope this helped you and allows you to play your minecraft multiplayer once more!

How can we "post" a log crash about internet?
It's not Minecraft. Something in Minecraft crashes the internet the player use.
The only I can come up with a crash log is a gateway.2wire.net error. Which doesnt help as it's the page that tells me the internet malfunctioned.
It's a 1.6.1 error. Haven't seen any crashes... so It must be something due to 1.6.1...
