Hello everyone, I am sorry to disturb you with my computer problems, but please take the time to read this and help me out:
Well, I love Minecraft and I've been playing it for more than a year now and I was completly heartbroken when I found out that Mojang will no longer be supporting PowerPC (which can only run up to java 5, while Minecraft 1.6 needs java 6) , so I've searched on the internet if it would be possible to play 1.6 on PPC or even ways to run java 6, the only possible solution I have found is to use a "virtual PC" but it's just to laggy. I know PowerPC is kind of "obsolete" and "they stopped making those since 2006" but there is no way I can ask my parents for a new computer now.
Now that 1.6 is out, all the servers will become 1.6 and I'll end up all alone on singleplayer, and won't be able to try the horses! I ask those who know about computers and all the PowerPC users, what can I do? Is there any possible way I could play Minecraft 1.6? Is there a way I could modify something in 1.6 to make it run on java 5?
Please help me, and do not tease me on my lame computer!
P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong section, I just figured 1.6 was a recent update.
Personally, I never heard of PowerPCs or cared at all so I have no experience on this matter.
However I did see many tutorials and videos of "porting" versions of Java to PowerPCs and such.
Now I don't know if this is real or even possible as I don't know much about it but here
