I don't know how to run 1.6 The only way I can is downloading the new launcher again. If somebody could help me it would be much appreciated!

Er, download new launcher, login, hit play, profit?

The new launcher is the only way to play 1.6?

It is good to make a new profile in the new launcher and adjust any settings you want in there including java arguments, game location, what version of the game you want to run, etc.

Then exit that window by ok, put in login credentials and then hit play?

I made a new profile on the launcher, it is on the latest version. But I don't know what java arguments are. And is setting the game location something like putting it on my desktop?

Open launcher click on your profile and press play offline but you can still play multiplayer
