So I've been playing Minecraft since Alpha and all this time it's been working just fine, however when the 1.6.1 update came out, I installed it and it worked fine at first, but the next day when I tried to run Minecraft it won't run at all and it gives me the Java error message -
Error: could not create the java virtual machine.
Error: a fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Like I said this is the first time it's ever happened to me so I'm hoping its a problem that will be fixed with future updates of Minecraft 1.6, but I've seen many people posting threads with the same problem and nobody has seemed to find a real answer. So I thought I'd give it a go and try to get some help related more around what I'm getting. I'm running Java 7 Update 25.
My system specs are as follows (I use a laptop for the record):
Intel i7-3610QM at 2.3ghz
8gb of ram
Windows 7 pro x64
Nvidia GTX 675m
Thank you.
