I have been trying to install Minecraft to my HP G61 Laptop. I have installed Jave 32-bit and Java 64-bit and the install fails with a fatal bootstrap error. THis is what it says. Please help.

still no answers, this is annoying me so much im glad i have gmod to play

I'm using kapersky and discovered the problem!!!

i had the same error andp if right click the minecraft icon you should see runn as administrator and that worked for me

What you need to do is open whatever anti virus system you're using. Find the fire wall, then turn it off.
Then log into minecraft and it should work.
Turn the firewall back on and the problem wont happen again!

I have this error on Manjaro Linux but not on Linux Mint. My firewall was not on and I do not need ativirus. Yet, the error continues.

I downloaded normally the packs and using kaspersky!

I solved the error with the kaspersky 2014! You need to deactivate the verification of encrypted conections!
Now have one answer!

i think i figured it out you have broken java installations go to java.com and reinstall it hope it works it did for me
