Earlier today, i logged into the new version of minecraft. It worked fine, until i was looking at the new features of the launcher, i tried to change the resolution settings of my profile to half the number of what was default just to see what would happen. When i logged in the words were scrambled so i immediately exited out. I changed the resolution back to the default and when i loaded minecraft the words were still scrambled. So i deleted my .minecraft folder in the %appdata% and then redownloaded minecraft. When i was done downloading minecraft, it was fine until i exited out of it to get back on later. When i got back on later, the words were scrambled again. I cant seem to find a fix for this problem, no matter how many times i try to delete minecraft and redownload it. I need help badly.
I actually suffer from the same problem. What I've noticed on my end however is that the text only scrambles for English based languages. If you switch your client to a foreign language the text is no longer scrambled.
Here's for hoping for a more permanent solution other than redownloading the client.
Strangely enough Pirate Speak seems unaffected, at least on my end.
Affected Languages:
Deutsch
Australian English
Canadian English
English (US)
Espanol (probably all of them)

And more probably.
