So I have been having some serious FPS issues with Minecraft. On a single person world, I am getting about 15-23 FPS, while on a server (by myself) I get only about 9-15 FPS. The weird thing is that it starts out around 30 FPS and eventually just drops. This still occurs when I turn smooth lighting off, render distance to low, graphics to fast FPS, and particals to minimal. Here is my computer specs:
HP Pavilion dv6t Laptop
Intel i5-2410M CPU @ 2.3 GHz
6 GB of RAM
Radeon HD 6770M Graphics Card (there is also a Intel HD integrated card as well)
Here is things that I have already tried, but have not helped.
Updated graphics card
Allocated more RAM (2GB)
Updated Java
Used Catalyst to ensure that Java is running on high performance and not power saver
Ensured my computer wasn't on power saver
On a related note, other games that I run on my computer don't have any FPS problems at all. For example, I have League of Legends running at the maximum graphics quality and get about 60 FPS. I really can't think of any other things to do and I havent been able to find a solution on the forums. Please let me know what else I should try to resolve this issue!
Your computer is mistaking Minecraft as a normal everday program and not a game.
Thus it goes with Intel HD Crap Graphics which are good but detecting Java running means it probably doesn't use its full potential
