Forgive me if this has already been posted as an issue...
Just before 1.6.1 came out, I noticed that the world I'd been playing in quite often was suddenly not saving and would not load the world fully. I figured this may be because Minecraft was getting ready to update, so I stopped playing until 1.6.1 came out. But then I loaded up after successfully downloading the update, and this particular world will first load with the player's vision looking enlongated and the player's speed is super fast...like ridiculously. Then after a moment it stops doing that, and I move to a location a few blocks away from where I loaded, and everything is normal. But, now chunks of my world will not load, though some of them will if I sit on them long enough, but after a while it won't even do that. Also, none of my redstone works anymore. And, if I save and quit, it does not save at all.
So I thought maybe this was a 1.6.1 glitch. Loaded up my other four worlds, and they're normal. They're completely fine. So...I don't know what's going on or how to fix this. By chance, I happened to back up my Minecraft files like a week ago, so if it's something irreversible I'll just have to convert back to that and hope it works. If not, I'd love to know how to fix this, so if anyone knows, please let me know. I was super stoked about playing this world with the update and now I can't.
Is it possible that it's because this is a very large world with large biomes, and I've built a lot? I doubt that would be an issue, but if it is then I slightly understand...I've made some major things in this world, but I don't want to lose it all.
