If you have been experiening lag due to the new 1.6.1 update, here is a solution that worked for me.

For Windows 7 and Windows 8 users:
1.) Right-click the icon to the new 1.6.1 launcher

2.) Click "Run with graphics processor"

3.) Select the processor that runs the fastest on your computer. For me, it was High-perfomance NVIDIA processor

The new launcher runs on "Integrated graphics" until you change this; once you change this option it should work fine every time.

Problem is, most people dont have a dedicated graphics processor to use.
