i downloaded minecraft onto my computer and when i tried to run it it said that i needed to install java first. so when i go to install java everything seems to be going fine but when i close the installer after it has down loaded notepad opens up with another window that says The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. this computer is a brand new windows surface and is running windows 8. i've run a full system scan for viruses but it comes up clean every time. i have no idea what is causing this problem. please help.
