Well me,my brother and my friend just got the new launcher and 1.6.1. Anyways so we used to be able to setup a lan with no problem in previous versions. Now when we try to host it, we get a port.
"Local Game Hosted on Port 1111" (Random Port Number)
What are we supposed to do. we tried putting 192.168.1.1:1111 (remember that is a random port).
And yes when i type in 192.168.1.1 i get the router log in page.
So can someone please help? It's greatly appreciated.
I have the same problem. I think you need to port forward your router. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, try downgrading to 1.5.2. LAN should work in 1.5.2.
192.168.1.1:1111 should only work with "Local game hosted on 0.0.0.0:port"
Or, try using your computer ip: Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig
Or probably, you need to use LAN cables.
Try asking Mojang for help, they might know.

192.168.1.1:1111 should only work with "Local game hosted on 0.0.0.0:port"
