Hello, today I got the new update 1.6 and I was really exited. Until after I got the launcher something wasn't right and for some reason it is not letting me play Minecraft again. Every time I try joining this weird code comes up on my screen. Please tell me what is going on and please tell me how to fix this Please! I am using a Mac for this and the version is 10.6.3 . So I really need you guys to tell me how to fix this problem.
Yeah. The weird code is what happens if you try to run a Windows program on an iMac. If you followed the link in the old launcher telling you to update to the one it leads you to the Windows version of the new launcher. The fix: log into your account at minecraft.net and download the Mac OS X platform. Hope this helps.
i have the same problem i think but for windows does it say could not create the java virtual machine a fatal exception has occured every time i even click on minecraft but i need to fix this problem it wont even go to the launcher
I downloaded the Mac launcher for my Mac, but am still getting a weird code. It won't launch the game. When I push "play" it just gives me code instead of launching the game.
Yes, but you did not include what the development launcher says. We do not know what is wrong. In any case I have a slight idea of what is wrong. Do you have the update here?

Retired StaffSee bolded part.
My friend, you have not given us anything to work with. Only a vague description. Please include what the development console says.
