Usually most Bukkit servers can be Jerry-rigged to run newer versions. Since 1.5.2 is still easily available most server owners don't want to deal with the glitches of doing this and will wait until an official 1.6.1 bukkit comes out.
you have 1.6, why not go to your profile in the launcher and edit your profile to play version 1.5.2?
I'm running 1.6 and on a server right now that hasn't updated from 1.5.2

well at least you guys can get it to work can you tell me how to get it to work? when i click it says run or cancel i click run then it says could not create the java virtual machine a fatal exception has occured every time i even click on minecraft
