My Language Changed When I Updated and I Cant Change it Back

When I updated to 1.6 everything worked find. After i logged out and played again later that day the language changed and i don't know what language it is. Some how i managed to get to the language options but when i click on the 14 option, it does not change to english. On wiki it said that the 14 option was English. Please help

You may need to reset your Minecraft settings to default. To do so, open your .minecraft directory and delete the file called 'options.txt'.

The .minecraft folder's location varies by operating system.

Windows: %appdata%/.minecraft
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
GNU/Linux: ~/.minecraft

I just tried to play offline mode and the language changed back to the previous one that i had the issue with, please help!
